We now have a team of nine in Malawi. Three graduate operators properly register with the Malawi Medical Council. These three were graduates of The Zambia Six-Year Molar Focus School. Three of the six dental assistants are also from Zambia and the other three assistants are Malawians. The team has a 3-ton truck that was gifted by six families and individuals from Lubbock. Some weeks the team is gone from their base house Monday until Friday going to distant schools. They often work with Ministry of Hope that has several feeding centers for orphans or other children needing nutritious meals. Some of the children walk great distances to eat and are taught proper brushing and if needed an ART filling or other treatment. Malawi has an estimated 1,000,000 Million orphans. There are called orphan with one parent alive and double orphans with no parent.
